Tangier day tour offers a great day escape to the city also known as the gateway of Europe to Africa. It is famous for its whitewashed hillside medina (old city) and holds the palace of the sultans also known as Dar El Makhzen. The city holds the biggest port in Africa, Tanger Med port located on the Strait of Gibraltar.
During this Tangier day tour, you can explore the grand Socco or as the locals call it “Souk Dakhel (market). Or enjoy a walk on the beach baordwalk or “Playa” or the nearest Marina. Or discover the Kasbah and its narrow hilly streets or walk to “Sour Maagazine” or the Wall of the lazy and enjoy a breathtaking view of the old port and the Atlantic ocean from the city center.
After your arrival to Casablanca Airport or Port you will be met and greeted by our representative. Then you will be shown to your transportation. If you are already in Casablanca, we can pick you up from your hotel or accommodation.
You will depart to Tangier in a private air conditioned van or bus (depending on the size of the group).

You will start your tour of the main monuments and sites of Tangier, also known as the gateway of Europe to Africa:
First you will begin with an interesting drive through the richest area of Tangier’s zone of villas and palaces passing via the king's palace and celebrities’ homes (Barbara Hutton and Malcolm Forbs). Then you will visit Cape Spartel which is the northest western point of Africa, it is the exact point where the Mediterranean and the Atlantic Ocean meet. Then visit of the Caves of Hercules (dating from the Neolithic era). Then we will do a stop to take pictures of the camels and if you like to experience a camel ride. After a short drive return to Tangier for the cultural tour which will be in the Kasbah and the Medina, the oldest and the most exotic part of this mythical city. An opportunity to be in direct contact with the friendly locals! Begin your tour of the old city to visit the Kasbah taking the itinerary of Matisse, the French famous painter who stayed here between 1912 and 1913 , snake charmers, the Medina where you will enjoy the world famous Moroccan cuisine while you relax to the entertainment of Andalusian musicians and belly dancer.
You will take a break to have lunch.
You will continue your tour of Tangier by a visit of Gran Socco, Petit Socco, Old American Legation, founded in 1821 (the 1st National Landscape for the USA in the overseas),the Mendoubia building and Gardens (The international administration when Tangier was under-control of 8 powerful countries) and then the market for souvenir shopping.
Please note that the order of the visits included in the tour might change but the tour will be completed in its entirety if the time allocated for each visit is respected.
Leave Tangier to head back to Casablanca.
