Tour Morocco’s mission is to have a positive impact on the local communities and the environment in different regions of Morocco where we operate our tours.
Our development goals for our local communities are in line with the 2030 United Nations’ Sustainable and Development Goals. Through its actions, Tour Morocco works to fight poverty and promote gender equality and economic growth for the habitants of these communities.
In addition to supporting directly local artisans and suppliers, women co-ops, local tour guides and accommodations by paying fair wages and prices, we work closely with various charitable organisations and NGOs like Les Enfants Du Desert, CARE, Afoulki, Nouss Nouss and many others that serve these communities.
Tour Morocco organises for our tour participants as part of their itinerary (if they desire) visits of our supported NGOs so they can participate actively in their social actions.
A portion of all proceeds will be donated to these NGOs. So, when you join one of our tours, you support these organisations and help the local communities.
Enfants Du Desert (Children of the Desert) is a humanitarian organisation founded in 2005. It was born after a trip to Morocca that encouraged Laetitia and Emmanuel Chevallier to commit to a cause that makes sense: access to education for children from southern regions of Morocco.
Access to education is the main objective of Enfants du Désert, but, aware of the correlations between health, living conditions and access to school, the association has expanded its fields of action to opt for a global approach for children. Since 2005, their struggle to improve children’s lives has become that of many other people. The action has grown to reach Argentina today.
Founded in 1945, CARE is one of the world’s leading humanitarian organizations. It is non-partisan and non-sectarian.
In 2012, CARE worked in 84 countries and reached 83 million people around the world. In its emergency response and long-term development programs, CARE seeks to fight underlying causes of poverty.
CARE places special focus on working alongside poor girls and women because, equipped with the proper resources, they have the power to lift whole families and entire communities out of poverty.
It is a French Moroccan NGO for culture and development.
Afoulki (a berber name which means beautiful) is an organisation that fights against illiteracy and poverty and supports the development of the status of women in rural areas of the province of Essaouira.
It leads many social and economical actions like renovating schools in rural areas, building rural centers that train and employ people facing harsh economical conditions, spreading environmental and hygiene awareness in schools and teaching sustainability.
Nouss Nouss is an NGO that was created with the aim of developing solidarity tourism that brings people from the countries of the North closer to those of the South.
The promoters of this project have experienced several experiences of solidarity tourism that are both a response to the needs expressed by developing countries for economic reasons and openness and secondly an opportunity to express themselves, to build, to discover, to invest in people who are in search of social utility.
